As the forces of winter gradually fade, leaving the moist, fertile ground bare under the growing heat of the sun, it is such a blessing to watch the first flowers springing from beneath the brown leaves blanket. Their vibrant colors piercing the crisp air and rising to meet the first bees and butterflies. The season of rebirth and all beginnings is what inspired the creation of this litsea cubeba and bergamote soap.

Arrival of Spring is a smooth bar with a rich, luxurious lather your skin will absolutely adore. With 60% hard butters and oils, this soap is truly hard and long lasting, while the generous 5% super fat ensures that it is gentle on the skin, keeping it hydrated and moisturized.

Your litsea cubeba and bergamote soap will be happy if you keep it in a cool, dark, well ventilated place, away from direct sunlight before you start using it. Once you do start using it, make sure you use a soap dish that lets water drain. Because the soap needs to stay dry in between uses. Find handmade ceramic soap dishes and other lovely zero waste accessories in the Handmade Bath Accessories section.

Please remember it takes between 4-6 weeks before a cold process soap batch is ready to use. Contact us for custom orders and we will be happy to make your dreams come true

Handmade soap contains glycerin, which is a moisturizing byproduct of soap. What it does is pull water into the outer layer of your skin, keeping it well hydrated. And in industrially produced soap, glycerin is extracted and sold separately. On the other hand, with natural handmade artisan soap, the glycerin remains in the soap. All for the pleasure of your skin.

Studies have shown that soap is more efficient than hand sanitizer in cleaning your skin. Moreover, regular soap does a perfect job – there is no need for antibacterial soap. Furthermore, one bar of solid soap can replace a lot of bath products. For example, liquid soap, shower gel, shaving cream, facial cleanser. And this means you consume less and use less plastic. So, since the packaging of our soap is recyclable, it is a lovely zero waste product. By the way, you can read more about how soap works in our dedicated blog article. Find out more about safety and using bar soap in our article, Bar Soap and Bacteria.

This is an entirely handmade in small batches cold process soap. As such, it takes approximately 3 hours to make. And then, between 4-6 weeks to cure in order to be ready to use.

We manually pour, unmold, cut and trim is slice/ bar.

Because it is naturally colored, there may be slight variations in color in time. Moreover, the bars will never look identical, but rather each one is unique.

Being scented with natural essential oils, the scent will tend to slowly fade in time.
